The Engineer Trainee Program
A well of experience
Starting last year, LANXESS now also offers engineers the option to join the company as an Engineering Trainee in one of our thirteen worldwide Business Units in addition to the direct entry option. As an Engineering Trainee you will learn about the diverse tasks and assignments for engineers in our facilities both in Germany and abroad in an exciting and dynamic environment as part of your 18-month training program.
The training also includes an assignment in the LANXESS Innovation & Technology Group Function, which bundles the chemical and technological skills at LANXESS on a global level and as such optimally supports our Group's growth strategy.
You will be trained in modern management techniques on- and off-the-job and supported by an experienced member of management staff as part of our Mentoring Program.
Following the successful completion of your Trainee Program there will be numerous opportunities for you to assume tasks with responsibility at one of our many LANXESS production facilities.
Which prerequisites must you meet to apply for the Engineering Trainee Program?
- A very good degree in engineering sciences, preferably with a focus on chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- You already have practical experience with a subject-related vocational training period or relevant internships completed during your degree or have up to three years' work experience in an industrial corporation.
- You already have initial international experience with a foreign semester or internship.
- Your personal qualities include a visionary and strategic approach as well as distinct team and communications skills.
- You see yourself as creative and analytical; you demonstrate initiative and have a high sense of responsibility.
- You are fluent in written and spoken German and English. Knowledge of another foreign language is an asset.
