It unites the most talented young musicians from Germany and other countries, resulting in sold out concert halls and thrilled audiences: the "LANXESS young.euro.classic Tours". LANXESS started the concert series in 2007. Since then the young members of the symphony orchestra cooperate with reputable guest conductors to create a formidable program that they take on tour through China. Sponsors of the "young.euro.classic Festival Orchestra Germany-China" in the years 2007 through 2009 were German Foreign Secretary (retired) Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Foreign Secretary of the People's Republic of China, YANG Jiechi. In 2010 German Foreign Secretary Guido Westerwelle took on joint sponsorship with YANG Jiechi.

SNYO Classic programme
The Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO) under the auspices of the Ministry of Education is a National Project of Excellence. The orchestra comes under the purview of the Co-Curricular Activities Branch, Education Programs Division, and Ministry of Education. The orchestra is a non-profit organization and is funded entirely by the Ministry of Education.
The SNYO is well regarded as the premier national orchestra for young musicians, with some 200 members from 75 educational institutions in Singapore. It benefits from the extensive training it receives from professional tutors from the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
The LANXESS SNYO Classic program for 2012 started on a high note when three of the Singapore National Youth Orchestra’s musical prodigies were selected to join leading American orchestra the Knights on tour in Germany. The three prodigies Miao Kai Wen (18, plays the clarinet), Melody Teoh Jin Xuan (18, plays the viola) and Lau Wen Rong (21, plays the trumpet) embarked on the study tour to the city of Ludwigsburg, where they have been attending specially-arranged master classes conducted by senior musicians of the Knights, and observed their concert rehearsals.
The LANXESS SNYO Classic program, which is into its third year, continues with more highlights in 2012 – a public outreach concert at the Singapore Botanic Gardens in July and a mentorship programme and concert with renowned flutist Andrea Griminelli in December.
