Screeding begins at new LANXESS corporate headquarters

The placement of floor screed has begun at the new corporate headquarters of specialty chemicals company LANXESS in Cologne, Germany. Raised access flooring is to be installed over the next five months on some 38,000 square meters of office space, including a load-bearing layer made of self leveling calciumsulfate screed. The self leveling screed is supplied by Düsseldorf-based CEMEX Deutschland AG on behalf of system flooring manufacturer Sybotec GmbH, Frammersbach, Germany, which is performing the work.

LANXESS - Price Increase for Sulfur Chlorides

LANXESS has increased globally prices by 5 percent for the product group sulfur chlorides and with immediate effect. The products thionyl chloride, sulfur chloride and sulfuryl chloride are affected.

LANXESS to enlarge its menthol facility in Krefeld

On July 20, 2011, specialty chemicals company LANXESS commenced work on expanding its menthol facility. The capacity of the plant at the Krefeld-Uerdingen site is to be doubled to meet the increasing demand on the world markets.
