Rubber Day China focused on high-tech rubber, which, for this rapidly growing economic power, is particularly important in terms of its ecological significance. Topics taken from the fields of technology and green tires have been discussed with representatives of the authorities, the public sector and industry. Also present were customers from the automotive industry, high-ranking government officials and representatives from the EU and German institutions.

LANXESS and China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) joined hands to present the Green Rubber Day on December 2 at the China World Summit Wing Hotel in Beijing, China. The LANXESS board of Management and the CPCIF executives have honored to welcome around 400 guests. The participants came together to exchange ideas about how one can sustainably meet the challenges of increasing mobility in China.

Distinguished speakers from the world of politics and business furthermore presented and discussed the following topics:
 

• Mobility in China - the 5 year plan, present conditions, challenges, expectations
• How technology and innovation in rubber can help to overcome the challenges of today's mobile world
• The importance of policy making for mobility in a harmonious society
• Best practice example of tire labeling in Europe
