Reduce inequality within and among countries.

Hundreds of thousands of people have fled to Germany in recent years on the run from war and political persecution. There is a great willingness among the population to help these refugees. LANXESS and its employees are also committed to supporting refugees and thus reducing inequalities.

The Group provides a total of EUR 400,000 for selected projects at its sites in order to open up opportunities for a better future for those seeking protection. In Krefeld, for example, a used camper van was converted into a mobile counselling center for single refugee women. In Leverkusen, for example, LANXESS financed the so-called "Com-Box", in which people of all ages and with different educational backgrounds can learn the German language on their own. In addition to the financial support, LANXESS employees who participate in established relief organizations can be paid for a leave of up to eight days in order to be able to work personally for refugees on site.
