LANXESS bonding agents are designed to be used with PVC plastisol coatings applied to technical textiles made of synthetic fibers, such as polyester or polyamide.

As opposed to many natural fibers such as cotton, synthetic fibers typically have a less open structure which makes diffusion of plastisol more difficult and thus mechanical bonding between these two materials much less pronounced.

LANXESS bonding agents improve the bond strength by chemically bonding to the functional groups available on the surface of synthetic fabrics while their polymeric nature provide the mechanical connection to the cured PVC layer.
