Community Engagement
We care about the communities surrounding our sites and strive to maintain a neighborly relationship. By actively engaging with local residents, we aim to foster a positive and supportive environment.
We promote activities that support community life and its development. We are committed to projects with charitable goals and invest in both the social environment of our locations and in commercial initiatives. We use a system of performance indicators to measure not only the number of beneficiaries, but also the social impact of our activities.
At many of our larger sites, we participate in institutionalized dialogues in established forums, such as community advisory boards. There are also contact points in the communities, which are operated either by LANXESS itself or by our partners in the chemical parks.
In addition, our grievance procedure is open to all individuals and also enables community members to inform the LANXESS Group of possible human rights and environmental violations.
