Product Description

n-Hexylchloroformate is a reactive chemical intermediate used to introduce hexyl carbonate or hexyl carbamate functional groups into organic molecules. It reacts with a broad range of nucleophiles, including alcohols and amines, to form stable carbonate and carbamate linkages, and more generally enables the synthesis of fine chemical intermediates such as dyes and polymer-related materials. In addition, the compound is used as a precursor in catalyst systems for polymerization processes and serves as a precursor for peroxydicarbonate formation in polymer chemistry.
