Product Description

Royco® 555 is an advanced 5 centistoke synthetic lubricating oil for helicopter transmissions and gearboxes. Royco® 555 is an optimized blend of a thermally stable polyol ester with a combination of antioxidants, antiwear additives and metal passivators that provides excellent load carrying with high thermal stability. Royco® 555 is specifically formulated to meet the requirements of helicopter gearbox and transmission systems. A high load carrying oil is necessary to meet the demanding requirements of modern helicopter power transfer systems. Royco® 555 can also serve as a turbine engine oil. In all cases, the oil should only be used in applications specifying a DOD-PRF-85734A synthetic fluid or where the oil is approved for use by the OEM.
