Armando Dente

After his Vocational Baccalaureate Diploma (Fachabitur), from 1998 until 2001 he trained as an electronics technician for energy systems at the Fürst Leopold mine in Dorsten. From 2001 to 2002 he was employed as a mining electrician at the mine in Lippe. During this period he was active as a voluntary youth representative (1998 to 2004, since 2002 as full-time chairman of the youth and trainee representation). From 2004 to 2006 he worked for the press- and publicity department of the mine in Lippe.

Between October 2007 and August 2008 he successfully completed the extracurricular studies (Studium Generale) at the Europan Academy of Labour (Europäische Akademie der Arbeit) at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt.

Since October 2008 he has been employed as Secretary of the IG BCE, first of the region Hanau, then of the region Kassel. From 2010 to 2012 he was additionally engaged in a project to gain new members in the plastics industry in Thuringia. From 2013 to December 2017 he was in charge of the region Westphalia. Currently he is Regional Director of the region Cologne-Bonn.
