Phenolic antioxidant, solid, low melting, easy to formulate, also for fuels

Additin® RC 7120 is a phenolic antioxidant with a wide field of application in lubricants. The recommended treat level in mineral oil is in the range of 0.2 and 0.6 % by weight. The oxidation stability of other base fluids, e.g. fatty oils, esters or polyglycols can also be strongly increased by Additin® RC 7120 at dosages of 0.5 - 1.5 % by weight.

Additin® RC 7120 is showing synergistic effects in combination with Additin® RC 7130 (aminic) or Additin® RC 7135 LD (aminic) and Additin® RC 8239 (Cu-inhibitor). After heating over its melting point and cooling afterwards Additin® RC 7120 can form undercooled melts, which could stay liquid for some days but could crystallize more or less quickly after agitation or in contact with seed crystals.
