Product Description

LANXESS Anhydrite Binder CAB 30 is a proven, synthetically produced binder for conventional calcium sulfate and calcium sulfate flowing screeds in accordance with DIN 18560. It combines high early and final strength with excellent dimensional stability and enables large-area, virtually stress-free screed constructions – jointless and without reinforcement. Thanks to its consistent reactivity, the calcium sulfate binder ensures reliable processing, rapid walkability, and excellent surface quality.

The product also meets stringent environmental requirements in accordance with the AgBB scheme as well as Belgian and French emission standards, supporting sustainable construction at the highest technical level.

Due to its low emission values, LANXESS Anhydrite Binder CAB 30 has been awarded theeco-INSTITUT label (Cologne, Germany), confirming its suitability for health-safe indoor applications.

THESE SPECIAL FEATURES MAKE THIS PRODUCT SO SUCCESSFUL

  • Very low shrinkage and expansion behavior (< 0.1 mm/m) – stress-free setting
  • High early strength: walkable after 3 days, load-bearing after 7 days
  • Suitable for large-area, jointless installation without reinforcement
  • Fast and uniform drying behavior
  • Ideal base for heated screeds
  • Environmentally friendly and low in emissions

THE MOST COMMON AREAS OF APPLICATION

  • Production of conventional calcium sulfate and calcium sulfate flowing screeds in accordance with DIN 18560
  • Bonded screeds, screeds on separation or insulation layers, and heated screeds
  • Residential, commercial, and industrial construction with high strength and surface flatness requirements
  • Systems combined with LANXESS additives (Anhydur® pro, Mebofix® pro, Mebonit® pro) for optimized processing and drying
  • Sustainable construction projects with a focus on low-VOC indoor applications

ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY

The construction industry faces increasing demands to combine sustainability with efficiency. Independent, science-based assessment of building materials — from raw material extraction to end-of-life — is becoming increasingly important for contractors, architects, engineers, and developers.

Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are internationally recognized as a key instrument for ecological assessment, ensuring transparency and comparability of construction products. They also serve as essential data sources for sustainable building certification systems and often represent a prerequisite for public tenders or funding programs, while strengthening manufacturers’ market position.
