Product Description

Rhenocure® SDT/S is a sulfur donor based on phosphoryl polysulfide bound to silica for the vulcanization of natural and synthetic rubbers. Unlike conventional sulfur, Rhenocure® SDT/S forms mono- and disulfidic crosslinks, resulting in superior heat aging resistance, low compression set, and outstanding reversion stability.

Vulcanizates show a broad curing plateau, making Rhenocure® SDT/S ideal for high-temperature processes such as salt bath vulcanization and injection molding. No blooming occurs, even at higher dosages, and the product is easily incorporated into the compound. In many cases, the use of Rhenocure® SDT/S allows for a reduction in conventional sulfur.

THESE SPECIAL FEATURES MAKE RHENOCURE® SDT/S SO SUCCESSFUL
Forms mono- and disulfidic bridges for excellent heat aging resistance
Outstanding reversion resistance and broad curing plateau
Improves compression set before and after hot air aging
Easy incorporation and uniform dispersion in all common rubbers
Color stability of finished products

THE MOST COMMON AREAS OF APPLICATION
NR compounds for tire carcasses, engine mounts, and dynamic parts
SBR, NBR, and EPDM compounds requiring improved aging and reversion resistance
