VULKACIT® DM/C
Vulkacit® DM/C combines scorch safety and controlled cure behavior for industrial rubber compounding.
Product Description
Vulkacit® DM/C is an MBTS-based rubber accelerator developed for sulfur-vulcanized rubber compounds. Its delayed-action characteristics may help provide an appropriate balance between processing safety and vulcanization behavior, depending on formulation and processing conditions. The product is supplied as a low-dust powder and is designed to support convenient handling and dosing in a variety of natural and synthetic rubber compounds.
THESE SPECIAL FEATURES MAKE THIS PRODUCT SO SUCCESSFUL
MBTS-based accelerator chemistry: Combines excellent scorch safety with cure characteristics that support stable processing and controlled vulcanization across a wide range of rubber compounds
Low-dust powder form: Supports cleaner handling, reduced material losses, and improved workplace hygiene in industrial compounding environments
THE MOST COMMON AREAS OF APPLICATION
Sulfur-cured rubber compounds requiring a balanced combination of processing safety and reliable vulcanization performance
Technical rubber goods where controlled cure characteristics and consistent product quality are essential
Natural and synthetic rubber formulations, including NR, SBR, BR, and NBR compounds used in a wide range of industrial applications
Vulcanization systems utilizing press, hot-air, steam, or salt-bath curing methods, depending on the overall accelerator package and processing requirements
Formulations requiring extended scorch safety, where the delayed-action characteristics of MBTS help reduce the risk of premature vulcanization during processing
Rubber compounds using combined accelerator systems, where MBTS is employed alongside secondary accelerators to optimize cure rate and final material properties
Industrial rubber-processing applications, including molded goods, profiles, hoses, seals, and other technical rubber components
