LEWATIT® SP 120

Product Description

Lewatit® SP 120 is a biopharmaceutical- and food-grade, macroporous, strongly acidic cation exchange resin with sulfonic acids groups based on a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer.

It has been optimized for special applications within bioprocessing industries, such as for capture and purification of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, food and natural extract products. Lewatit®  SP 120 has a high degree of crosslinking, outstanding chemical resistance to oxidizing agents, high total capacity and good osmotic stability. Its large pore structure provides a high fouling resistance.

Lewatit® SP 120 is manufactured, fully tested and validated in a 1,2-dichloroethane-free production process (also known as ethylene dichloride or EDC).

Lewatit® SP 120 is suitable for following applications and beyond:

• Capture and purification of biopharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, supplements
• Capture of large biomolecules from fermentation broth
