Product Description

Additin® RC 2541 is a highly active, light colored, nearly odorless sulfur carrier with good solubility in most types of base oils. Due to a special inhibition process it provides extremely high sulfur activity combined with very good yellow metal compatibility. Thus it is an excellent choice for manufacturing metalworking fluids that are suitable for almost all kind of heavy duty metal removal and metal forming processes but do not stain copper and its alloys.

Additin® RC 2541 is an outstanding replacement for chlorinated paraffins. It shows significant sulfur activity already at slightly elevated temperatures of 50 to 60°C. With increasing temperature, it provides a steadily increasing active sulfur level of up to 90% of its total sulfur content at 150°C. Because of its high sulfur content, Additin® RC 2541 can be used in combination with other sulfur carriers in order to increase their Extreme Pressure activity.
