ADDITIN® RC 2547

Product Description

Additin® RC 2547 is a sulfurized isobutene with very high sulfur content combined with controlled sulfur activity. It is light colored and shows good solubility in most types of base oils. Additin® RC 2547 is used to formulate industrial lubricants and greases that ensure excellent wear protection under extreme pressure and high load conditions. It is an excellent booster for FZG load stage, Four-Ball weld load and other tribological EP tests. Anti-wear additives like Additin® RC 3038, Additin® RC 3080 or Additin® RC 3890 are excellent supplements.

Despite its high sulfur content, Additin® RC 2547 offers a low reactivity to copper containing alloys that can be further reduced by adding suitable yellow metal inhibitors like Additin® RC 8213 or Additin® RC 8239. Main applications for Additin® RC 2547 are gear oils and EP-greases. It is suitable for use in lithium, lithium complex and other grease thickener systems.
