Product Description
Rhenocure® ZDTP/S is a specialty accelerator based on zinc dialkyldithiophosphate bound to silica. It is designed for sulfur vulcanization of EPDM, natural rubber, and synthetic diene rubbers as a secondary accelerator in combination with sulfenamides, thiazoles, thiurams, carbamates, or guanidines. Unlike conventional accelerators, Rhenocure® ZDTP/S contains no secondary amines, eliminating the risk of nitrosamine formation.
Rhenocure® ZDTP/S offers excellent solubility and dispersion, enabling fast vulcanization and consistent processing behavior. Accelerator systems containing Rhenocure® ZDTP/S generally do not show any signs of blooming attributable to ZDTP itself and offer reliable scorch safety as well as long storage stability. The resulting vulcanizates show a high crosslink density, enhanced heat-aging resistance, and outstanding physical performance. In addition, Rhenocure® ZDTP/S provides excellent color stability, making it particularly suitable for colored, transparent, or translucent compounds.
