ADDITIN® RC 8000

EP additive, light colored, nearly odorless, high viscosity sulfur linked polymer with excellent lubricity

Additin® RC 8000 is an oil soluble sulfur linked polymer providing outstanding polarity and lubricity in heavy duty metalworking processes. It is ideally suited for all kind of heavy duty stamping and metal forming operations where a pressure stable lubricant film is essential. Additin® RC 8000 does not stain copper or yellow metal alloys.

Due to its polymeric character combined with balanced extreme-pressure properties, it works as an excellent replacement for chlorinated paraffins.

The performance of metalworking fluids containing Additin® RC 8000 can be further increased by combinations with sulfurized olefins like Additin® RC 2540, zinc dithiophosphates, e.g. Additin® RC 3038, phosphoric acid partial esters or ashless phosphorus-sulfur additives like Additin® RC 3890. Additin® RC 8000 also enhances the extreme pressure and lubricity properties of greases. It is compatible with all kind of soap greases, the compatibility with other grease types should be tested. Additin® RC 8000 is EU Ecolabel (EEL) approved with a maximum treat rate up to 2%.
