ADDITIN® RC 2317

Product Description
Additin® RC 2317 is a light-colored, nearly odorless, low viscosity sulfur carrier. It is an excellent Extreme Pressure additive for manufacturing metalworking fluids for cutting operations. Due to its low viscosity, Additin® RC 2317 is ideally suited for formulating metalworking oils with low viscosity and outstanding flushing properties. Because of its specially selected raw materials; Additin® RC 2317 offers a very low pourpoint and an extended solubility in various base fluids compared to other types of sulfur carriers. Additin® RC 2317 is ideally suited for metalworking oils based on mineral oils, hydrocrack oils, polyalphaolefins or GTL oils.
The performance of metalworking fluids containing Additin® RC 2317 can even be increased by combinations with zinc dithiophosphates, e.g. Additin® RC 3038, phosphoric acid partial esters or ashless phosphorus-sulfur additives like Additin® RC 3890.
Additin® RC 2317 meets the requirements of the LuSC (“Lubricant Substance Classification”) list and is therefore suitable for the formulation of lubricants that can be awarded with the EU Ecolabel. It is labelled with the Scopeblue brand for consisting of more than 50 percent of natural, regionally sourced renewable raw materials.
