LEWATIT® PH 3021

Product Description

Lewatit® PH 3021 is a biopharmaceutical- and food-grade, macroporous, heterodisperse, weakly basic anion exchange resin based on a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. Its macroporous structure ensures very good adsorption of acid and organic substances, e.g. colorants. These are desorbed by regeneration with caustic soda solution. Due to its low basicity, Lewatit® PH 3021 can be used in the treatment of products sensitive to alkali.

It has been optimized for special applications within bioprocessing industries, such as for capture and purification of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, food and natural extract products.

Lewatit® PH 3021 is suitable for following applications and beyond:

• Decolorization of bioprocessing solutions
• Neutralization (acid removal) of bioprocessing and organic molecules solutions
• Capture and purification of antibiotics from fermentation broth, e.g., cephalosporin C
• Capture and purification of biopharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, supplements
