ADDITIN® RC 5250
Product Description
Medium active, high lubricity, light colored, water soluble sulfur carrier
Additin® RC 5250 is a medium active, light colored sulfur carrier which becomes water soluble after neutralization. In soluble oil, semisynthetic and synthetic metalworking fluid concentrates, Additin® RC 5250 provides excellent EP-performance and lubricity for machining steel, stainless steel, aluminum and yellow metal alloys. It furthermore acts as a co-emulsifier, corrosion inhibitor and replacement for tall oil fatty acid.
Additin® RC 5250 becomes water soluble after neutralization with alkaline solutions like KOH or NaOH or with amines. When using with high water hardness, the addition of Additin® RC 5010 or a lime soap dispersant to prevent the formation of lime soaps is recommended.
Additin® RC 5800 prevents copper staining when machining brass or bronze. Typical treatment levels of Additin® RC 5250 in MWF concentrates are 2 – 10%.
