The wide variety of Bayferrox® shades: yellows, reds, oranges, browns and blacks are a benchmark in the market for their high quality and consistency between batches. Our pigments are characterized by outstanding lightfastness, weather stability, colour intensity and high dispersibility.
Applications:
- Cementitious building materials and the colouration of asphalt
- Paints and coatings
- Plastics
Supply form: Depending on the field of application, our pigments are available in various forms: powder, compacted, granulated and micronized. Our technical department is at your disposal for any questions regarding application, dosage or mixing.
- Powdered pigments: Mainly for colouring construction materials. Thanks to their chemical structure they are insoluble in water, resistant to the alkalinity of cement and lime, resistant to acids and weather stable
- Compacted pigments (C): Granular/compacted material that allows the dosing of pigments almost without generating dust in the air. Specially designed for colouring cement
- Granulated pigments (G): Pigments in granule form that can be dosed without dust formation in the environment. They facilitate correct dosing, weighing and unloading of silos, big bags and sacks. Pigments for colouring construction materials.
- Micronized pigments (M): These pigments meet the special requirements of the paint and coatings industry. Due to the micronization process, an intensive grinding procedure during their manufacture, the level of agglomerates in the finished product is significantly lower, hence these pigments display high dispersibility.
Instruction for use in construction applications: The recommended dosage is 2-4% over the amount of cement or lime in the concrete or mortar. The exact amount will depend on the final shade to be achieved. Dosages higher than 5% are not recommended. The final shade is susceptible to variation according to a number of variables, including the colour of the cement and the aggregates used.
Wide range of colours: yellow, red, brown and black iron oxides as well as green chromium oxides.
Applications: Their special chemical structure gives them a high temperature resistance, making them ideal for use in paints and plastics.
Supply form: Powder and micronized pigments.
Instruction for use: Our technical department is at your disposal for any questions regarding application, dosage or mixing.
Wide range of colours: from subtle pastels to intense & vibrant shades and deepest blacks, the Shadeacrete® range of blends expand and complement the Bayferrox® & Colortherm® range, including whites & blues
Applications: Mainly for the colouration of cementitious products
Supply form: Powders
Instruction for use: Our technical department is at your disposal for any questions regarding application, dosage or mixing.
Wide range of colours: from in addition to liquid versions of many of the standard Bayferrox® powders, bespoke shades may also be produced, including titanium dioxide whites and carbon blacks.
Applications: Mainly for the colouration of cementitious products but also for some coatings and special applications, such as inks, paper & mulch.
Supply form: Aqueous dispersions, typically from 35 – 60% solids content
Instruction for use: Our technical department is at your disposal for any questions regarding application, dosage or mixing.
