Product Description

ADDOCAT® 108 is an amine catalyst used to promote the blowing reaction in polyurethane (PUR) foams . It is a solution of bis(2-dimethylaminoethyl) ether in dipropylene glycol and is applied in conventional and HR flexible foams as well as, in combination with other catalysts, in rigid foam systems . Typical use levels range from 0.1 to 0.5 pphp depending on the formulation . The product is a low-viscosity, water-miscible liquid, supporting consistent processing and reaction control in industrial foam production.

THESE SPECIAL FEATURES MAKE THIS PRODUCT SO SUCCESSFUL

  • Proven standard catalyst to promote the blowing reaction in PUR foams
  • Effective at low dosage levels (typ. 0.1–0.5 pphp depending on system)
  • Enables precise reaction control in flexible and HR foam formulations
  • Improves system flowability in rigid foam applications, even at 0.1 pphp
  • Supports improved open-cell structure in semi-rigid foams when combined with triethanolamine
  • Low viscosity and good miscibility with water for easy handling and formulation flexibility

THE MOST COMMON AREAS OF APPLICATION

  • Conventional flexible polyurethane foam (molded and slabstock)
  • High-resilience (HR) flexible foams
  • Semi-rigid filling foams
  • Rigid foams for slabstock and sandwich panels
  • Pipe, appliance insulation and on-site casting systems
