LANXESS’ website is intended for business-to-business transactions only, and we do not knowingly collect the personal information of individual consumers. By using our website, signing up for our newsletter, or otherwise providing any information to LANXESS, you are acknowledging that you are a representative or agent of a business and not an individual consumer. Collection of Site Activity Data

You are not required to provide personal information as a condition of using our site, except as may be necessary to provide you a product or service at your request. When you use our website, we store data for various administrative purposes. This data could possibly lead to your identification, but we do not use it to do so. We do use the data from time to time for statistical purposes, but maintain the anonymity of each individual user so that the person cannot be identified. We collect business-to-business (“B2B”) data, which is personal information related to our business-to-business and vendor relationships, including business contact information provided to us to consummate the relationship and carry out business functions. The data we collect will be used for the purpose of supplying you with the requested products or services, to carry out B2B functions, and as may otherwise be permitted by law. Use of Cookies

Security

Where indicated, we use the Secure Socket Layer protocol (SSL protocol for short) to help ensure the secure transmission of your details to the server by encrypting customers’ details transmitted on the Internet.

Children

This website is not intended for use by children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children under the age of 18. If we discover that we have received information directly from a child under the age of 18, we will delete that information. The California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") provides consumers who are California residents with certain rights to their personal information. This section explains those rights. LANXESS does not sell or share your personal information with third parties. LANXESS does not knowingly sell, share, use for cross-context behavioral advertising, or disclose the personal information of children under the age of 16.

YOUR RIGHTS
If you are a California consumer, you may have the right to:

  1. Request that LANXESS provide you the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of personal information, the categories of sources from which the personal information is collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information, the categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information, and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

    Only you or an authorized agent may make a request to access your personal information. You may have the right to make a free request twice during any twelve-month period. 
  2. Request we delete certain personal information we collected from you. You may have the right to request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. After we receive and validate your request, we will delete your personal information, unless an exception under the CPRA applies. Please be aware that, once deleted, your data, including your account and activities, cannot be restored.
  3. Request we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
  4. Request that we stop selling your personal information or sharing your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may have a right to opt-out of sale of your personal information or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Note, however, LANXESS does not sell consumer personal information or share consumer personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As such, we do not offer this right.
  5. Request to receive the information under right (1) in a format, to the extent technically feasible, that is portable, usable, and allows you to transmit the personal information to a person without impediment, where the processing is carried out by automated means.
  6. Request related to “sensitive” personal information or data. Note, however, LANXESS does not collect “sensitive” personal information or data from you. As such, we do not offer this right.
  7. Be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under the CPRA. We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CPRA.

VERIFYING YOUR REQUEST
For your safety and the safety of your information, we cannot fulfill a request to provide, correct, or delete personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request. We need to confirm the personal information relates to you or the individual for whom you are a lawful agent. 

To verify your identity, we will ask that you provide the following information when you submit your request:

  • State
  • Zip Code.

We may require additional verification information from you, including before deleting or disclosing particularly sensitive information. We will only use the verification information you provide for the purpose of verifying your identity or authority to make the request. 

We will respond to your request within forty-five (45) calendar days. However, in certain circumstances, we may require additional time to process your request, as permitted by applicable law. We will advise you within forty-five (45) calendar days after receiving your request if such an extension is necessary and why it is needed. 

Submitting a request does not require you to create an account with us. We do not charge you a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee (only if permitted under the law), we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

In some instances, we may not be able to honor your request. For example, we will not honor your request if we cannot verify your identity, if we cannot verify that you have the authority to make a request on behalf of another individual or if an exception applies. We will advise you in our response if we are not able to honor your request.

AUTHORIZED AGENTS
You may have the option to designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If we receive your request from an authorized agent, we may require evidence that you have provided such agent with a power of attorney or that the agent otherwise has valid written authority to submit requests to exercise rights on your behalf.
