LANXESS Receives Supplier of the Year Award from Avient

Pittsburgh, Pa. –September 19, 2024–LANXESS Corporation’s Polymer Additives business unit has received a 2024 Supplier of the Year award from Avient Corporation, a global leader in specialized and sustainable material solutions. The award recognized LANXESS for its commitment to high-quality, innovative products and industry-leading sustainability achievements and targets.
For over a decade, LANXESS has supplied Avient with Mesamoll, a crucial plasticizer technology that has been instrumental in Avient’s transition away from phthalate-based plasticizers. The product has played a significant role in enhancing Avient’s consumer safety profile, particularly in applications like screen printing for notable consumer brands.
Avient also acknowledged LANXESS’ sustainability initiatives, particularly noting the importance of achieving Ecovadis Platinum certification, which places LANXESS among the top 1% in the industry for Environmental and Social Governance and aligns with Avient’s own values and objectives.
