Mineral Slurries
Mineral slurries are composed of calcium carbonate, kaolin, and other organic or inorganic pigments.
They are often difficult to preserve because of favorable conditions for microbial growth during production, storage and transport of mineral slurries. For example, high temperatures during the grinding process, poor hygienic conditions during transport and storage or high pH values can lead to microbial growth, greying and finally complete product deterioration.
LANXESS offers a wide range of biocides to effectively control growth of bacteria, yeast and mould throughout the entire process from production over storage and to transport and use of the mineral slurry.
