LEWATIT® MP 62 WS Eco

Product Description

Lewatit® MP 62 WS Eco is the sustainable equivalent of the conventional Lewatit® MP 62 WS, which is produced with ISCC PLUS certified styrene according to the mass balance approach under the following licence code: ISCC-PLUS-Cert-DE102-22010005.

In its production, approx. 20% of the fossil raw materials are substituted by material from sustainable ISCC PLUS certified sources (mass balanced). As a result of the mass balance approach, the Lewatit® MP 62 WS Eco exhibits the same physical and chemical properties, obtaining the same performance as its conventional counterpart.

The Lewatit® MP 62 WS Eco is a weakly basic, macroporous anion exchange resin with tertiary amino groups (monofunctional), hence of particularly low basicity.

Its special bead size distribution, outstanding mechanical stability and high total and operating capacity makes it particular suitable for the following applications:

• Use in Lewatit® WS Systems
• Use in Lewatit® VWS Systems
• Groundwater and surface water decontamination by removal of e.g. chromate (CrO₄ ^2-), natural organic matter (NOM), heavy metal cyanides
• Recovery of noble metals, e.g. gold (Au) and silver (Ag) from cyanide solutions
• Deacidification of organic process streams, e.g. esters, ethers and aromatic hydrocarbons
• Removal of Bisphenol-A from waste water streams
• Purification of organic process streams
