Yellow metal inhibitor with EP properties based on DMTD
Additin® RC 8213 is a liquid dimercaptothiadiazole (DMTD) derivative that can be used as an effective non-ferrous metal deactivator and mild ashless extreme-pressure additive. Due to its chemical structure it acts as an inhibitor against corrosive attack on copper surfaces by e.g. aggressive sulfur compounds. Furthermore, it exhibits good EP properties without negative wear effects. It is light-colored, low in odor and shows an excellent solubility in various base fluids. Additin® RC 8213 is LuSC listed and can be used at low treat levels in bio lubricants.
