Ultramoll® is a high viscosity polymeric plasticizer line compatible with a large number of polymers, e.g. PVC, NBR, PUR. Possible areas of applications are any kind of materials that are intended to come in contact with oil or other plastic. These include oil- and petrol-resistant cables, hoses, films, shoes or protective clothing for industrial use.
The Ultramoll® grades are available in different viscosities.
Ultramoll® - tailored properties:
- good extraction resistance to oils
- good migration resistance in contact with other plastics
- good thermostability
- good processability
Ultramoll® IV is used in applications where foodstuff regulations and recommendations need to be met; further information is available on request.
K-FLEX® plasticizers are low-VOC and non-phthalate plasticizers with a great value and balance of performance properties. They are compatible in many polar materials such as PVC, polyvinyl-acetate, polyvinyl-acetate/ethylene copolymers, acrylic, styrenated acrylic, styrene-butadiene, polysulfide, nitrocellulose, nitrile, and polyurethane. The high gelling capacity of K-FLEX enables increased processing speeds and reduced processing temperatures in vinyl applications. K-FLEX® offers excellent stain resistance, extraction resistance and durability. In adhesives and sealants, K-FLEX® improves the rheological, elastomeric and adhesion characteristics. Besides this, K-FLEX® are excellent coalescents for coatings.
Typical end-use applications include adhesives & sealants, caulks, paint, coatings, flooring, and artificial leather.
K-FLEX® - tailored properties:
- Fast fusing in PVC
- Beneficial rheological, elastomeric and adhesion properties in sealants
- High extraction resistance
- Low VOC
Vitroflex® is designed for polysulfide sealants, offering a non-phthalate, non-chlorinated paraffin alternative with excellent performance and value for this application.
Vitroflex® - tailored properties:
- exceptional permanence
- low migration
- low fogging
- excellent flexibility
- good adhesion
Unimoll® AGF is a mixture of glycerin acetates and is intended to come into contact with food, including PVC cling films. It is compatible with many polymers and an alternative to phthalates for several applications. Based on the used raw materials, Unimoll® AGF is partially bio-based.
Unimoll® AGF – tailored properties:
- bio-sourced plasticizer
- high plasticizing efficiency
- food contact approval
- good low temperature flexibility
Triacetin and Acetine 51035 are clear acetate esters which are established secondary plasticizers in PVC. By adding Triacetin or Acetine 51035, the gelation of PVC can be improved. Also in adhesives, they provide broad compatibility and good performance. However, the main application of Triacetin is in the production of cigarette filters, where it solidifies acetyl cellulose fibers. Due to its high volatility, Triacetin can act as a carrier of flavors and is used for application where food contact requirements have to be met.
In contrast, Acetine 51035 is a product developed for more technical applications such as solvent and plasticizer in inks, adhesives, textile auxiliary, cellulose-based plastics and PVC plastisols.
Triacetin / Acetine 51035 – tailored properties:
- improving gelling capacity in PVC
- very good dissolving power for many organic substances
- good compatibility with natural and synthetic rubber
Baymod® PU is an aliphatic polyester urethane, acting as a plasticizing polymer and improving the resistance of PVC plastics to oil, grease, solvents and abrasion. Baymod® PU is solid and can be used in PVC applications including extrusion, injection moulding, calendaring and laminated calender coatings for various products. Due to its polymeric structure, Baymod® PU is not only non-volatile but also provides exceptional extraction resistance by most organic solvents and migration resistance in contact with other plastics. For that reason, it is the product of choice if very high permanence is required.
Baymod® PU- tailored properties:
- oil, grease and solvent resistant
- non-volatile
- migration and extraction resistance
- low temperature resistance
- low fogging
Uniplex® 214 is a liquid sulfonamide, compatible with many resins. It is mainly used for plasticizing polyamide resins, especially PA11, PA12 and copolyamides.
