Kalama® Peach Lactone (IUPAC name: 5-heptyloxolan-2-one), also known as gamma undecalactone, is a high purity fragrance ingredient characterized by its delightful fruity aroma featuring peach, creamy, fatty, and apricot notes. This clear, almost colorless liquid is Halal Certified, Kosher (Pareve non-Passover) Certified, and produced under an FSSC 22000 Certified Food Safety Management System.

Due to its easily oxidized nature, it should be carefully protected from exposure to air. Kalama® Peach Lactone is widely used in floral fragrance compositions, fine fragrances, shampoos, spas, cosmetics, household products, and air care formulations. Additionally, it is valued in food and beverage applications for imparting a satisfying creamy, peachy flavor and acts as a fixative to enhance the longevity of more volatile fruit esters.
