One example of a recycled material used in the production of iron oxides is cast iron borings from the automotive industry. 

Using Recycled Content Certified Bayferrox pigments for coloring concrete or other materials used in buildings will allow the architect to factor in the pigments when calculating points on LEED rating scales.
