Cooling Water

Water recirculating in cooling water systems can become contaminated with bacteria, algae, fungi and protozoa that lead to the formation of biofilms – often referred to as slime. Without treatment, cooling systems are vulnerable to the following issues:

1

Biofilm formation: Leading to blockages, increased corrosion, reduced heat transfer and increased downtime.
2 Microbially influenced corrosion (MIC): Causing corrosion and pH changes in the system.
3 Legionella: Representing a severe health hazard if released into the environment.

Our range of water treatment biocides can help to control biofouling and maintain system integrity in industries that use cooling water in their processes. Such industries include power plants, oil & gas, mining, manufacturing and pulp & paper, as well as many others.
