- Kathon® CG/ICP and Kathon® CG/ICP II are preservative products based on 1.5% CMIT/MIT in water. They differ only in the level and type of salts they contain for stabilization. Kathon® CG/ICP II contains a lower level of magnesium salts for salt-sensitive formulations. Their preservative performance is identical, see also KATHON® CG/ICP
