WHERE WE COME FROM
From the outset, the claim was: “Energizing Chemistry”. Being fast, agile, resilient and flexible was our motto, and we have proven it time and again since then. To be successful in highly dynamic markets and an ever more complex world, you need fresh thinking, new approaches and flexibility. With this “DNA”, LANXESS has reinvented itself several times over the past 20 years and has also mastered challenging situations.

We are a leading specialty chemicals company based in Cologne. With around 12,400 employees in 32 countries, we are an established company on the global market.

The core business is the development, manufacturing and marketing of chemical intermediates, additives and consumer protection products with annual sales of EUR 6.7 billion (2023).
