LANXESS increases prices for 1,6‑hexanediol

Cologne

Specialty chemicals company LANXESS is raising its prices for 1,6‑hexanediol (HDO) globally with immediate effect. The increase amounts to EUR 350 per metric ton. The reason for the adjustment is the significant rise in raw material costs over the past months.

HDO is an important precursor for high performance coatings, fibers, adhesives, polyurethanes, polycarbonate diols, and as reactive diluent for epoxy resins.
