Product Description
PUROX® B in white flakes form is a high-purity benzoic acid from LANXESS, the world’s largest manufacturer of this essential preservative and performance ingredient. Offering low odor, no discoloration, minimal agglomeration, and excellent handling, PUROX® B is widely used in cosmetics, personal care, and industrial formulations as a nature-identical preservative.
Its biodegradability and certification under eco-labels such as the EU Ecolabel, COSMOS, and Nordic Swan make it particularly attractive for sustainable product lines. Preservation efficacy can be further enhanced when combined with multifunctionals and surfactants.
PUROX® B flakes also serve as a building block and chain terminator in alkyd resin synthesis, contributing to improved gloss, adhesion, hardness, and chemical resistance. It offers corrosion protection in automotive coolants and coatings, supports high-performance HDPE filament and thermoplastic elastomer production, and enhances the finish in synthetic polyester fibers. In oilfield applications, it functions as a temporary plugging agent in subterranean drilling fluids.
The flake form provides easy dosing and transport, especially in solid formulation manufacturing environments.
