In the past few recent years, LANXESS has received severl awards or recognition for our outstanding efforts in innovation and sustainability across all our sites, both nationally and internationally.

CIAC Accountability Award

West Hill, Ontario, October 2025. LANXESS Canada’s West Hill site, which is part of the Lubricant Additives Business Unit, received the Accountability Award at the Chemical Industry Association of Canada's (CIAC) Responsible Care Awards. This award recognizes the site's ongoing sustainability initiatives.

LANXESS Canada’s West Hill site, which is part of the Lubricant Additives Business Unit, received the Accountability Award at the Chemical Industry Association of Canada's (CIAC) Responsible Care Awards.

Key efforts include planting over 300 trees and shrubs in collaboration with the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority, as well as establishing a 1,500-square-foot pollinator garden to support local ecology and on-site beehives. The site previously earned a Pollinator Award in 2024 from the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign.

Golden Paint Award 2024

July 1, 2025, Chongqing, China. LANXESS was recognized for the fifth consecutive year as an “Outstanding Raw Material Supplier” at the 16^th Golden Paint Award in Chongqing. This award highlights the commitment of the Inorganic Pigments (IPG) business unit to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in customer service in the coatings industry.

This prestigious award recognizes LANXESS's ability to deliver high-performance raw materials, such as Bayferrox®, as well as its commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing practices. These practices include the patented "Ningbo Process," which significantly reduces nitrogen oxide emissions and wastewater pollutants. LANXESS has also achieved National Green Factory certification in China, further solidifying its position as a leader in sustainable production.

Double Recognition at the 2025 AICM Responsible Care Awards

June 18, 2025, Xi’an, China. The company received two honors at the 2025 AICM Responsible Care Awards in Xi’an:

the Responsible Care Excellent Enterprise Award and
the Responsible Care and Sustainability Initiative Award for Energy Saving and Emission Reduction.

These awards acknowledge LANXESS's dedication to safety, sustainability, and ongoing improvements in energy efficiency at its sites in China and beyond.

As a co-author of China’s national Responsible Care standard for process safety, LANXESS helps shape responsible industry practices. Over the past three years, LANXESS has achieved zero recordable and lost-time incidents while reducing CO₂ emissions, demonstrating that safety and climate action go hand in hand.

The company received the Responsible Care Excellent Enterprise Award at the 2025 AICM Responsible Care Awards in Xi’an.

In line with its Net Zero Value Chain Program, LANXESS aims to achieve climate neutrality (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2040 and net-zero emissions across the value chain by 2050. The company promotes sustainable raw materials, green logistics, and energy-efficient production.

Handelsblatt Lighthouse Tribute Award 2024

Open-to-Public Day Best Practice Award 2024

Public Welfare Impact Award 2024

LANXESS has received the "Public Welfare Impact Award" from Shanghai Daily in recognition of its organization of the 4th "LANXESS-PASCH Future Rallye."

Since its launch in 2021, the event has been held for four consecutive years, bringing

Community Impact Award 2025

February 18, 2025, Charleston. LANXESS’s polyvinyl acetate (PVA) plant in Charleston, South Carolina, was recognized with the Community Impact Award by the Charleston County Economic Development Board for its outstanding dedication to community service and philanthropic initiatives.

This award recognizes the site's continuous efforts to engage with and support the local community, showcasing creativity and dedication to making a positive impact in the Charleston area.

Pollinator Advocate Award 2024

USA, October 22, 2024. The company's West Hill facility in Toronto received the Pollinator Advocate Award in recognition of its long-standing commitment to habitat restoration and pollinator protection. The 24-acre site, which is used for lubricant additive and grease production, has been transformed by the team into pollinator-friendly habitats. These include a 1,500-square-foot pollinator garden, honeybee hives, and native plantings. Employees participate in environmental initiatives during their time off,

implementingbiomonitoring systems,
building native bee and bird houses,
and consulting with biodiversity experts.

These efforts enhance local ecology and serve as a global example for promoting pollinator advocacy and community engagement at other LANXESS sites.

The Pollinator Advocate Award recognizes outstanding achievements in pollinator conservation and public education. It highlights initiatives that raise awareness of the importance of pollination. The award is given out in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Indian Chemical Council (ICC) Awards 2024

October 2024, Mumbai. LANXESS India received three prestigious awards from the ICC, highlighting the company’s dedication to safety, security, sustainability, and responsible practices.

GEEF Global Awards 2024

July 26, 2024, New Delhi. LANXESS India received two Global Environment and Energy Foundation (GEEF) Global Awards in 2024:

the Global Safety Award in the Platinum category and
the Global WaterTech Award in Sustainable Water Management.

The Global Safety Award recognizes LANXESS India’s commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards in its operations. Winning the Platinum category highlights the company’s robust safety framework, which includes proactive risk identification, behavior-based safety programs, contractor management, incident management, and employee health initiatives. These initiatives ensure a safe working environment for all stakeholders.

The Global WaterTech Award recognizes LANXESS India’s innovative approach to sustainable water management, which includes reducing water withdrawals, increasing water recycling, and implementing local water stewardship projects. At specific sites, treated water from effluent and domestic wastewater is recovered and reused in production processes, which minimizes environmental impact and addresses local water scarcity.

IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2024

July 2024, London. LANXESS received the “Best ESG Reporting (Mid-Cap)” award at the IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2024. This British investor relations publication honors exceptional performance in sustainability and ESG reporting among mid-cap companies with a market capitalization ranging from 1 to 7.5 billion USD.

This award recognizes LANXESS's comprehensive integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into investor communication, reflecting the company's commitment to maintaining high standards of reporting and transparency through strong cross-functional collaboration.

BCCI Workplace Safety Award 2023

December 2023, Mumbai. LANXESS India won second place in the non-manufacturing category at the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Workplace Safety Awards 2023 for creating safe and sustainable workplaces.

This recognition highlights LANXESS India’s ongoing dedication to safety, innovation, and compliance. It acknowledges the company's efforts to promote a safe and sustainable work environment through

effective health and safety (HSE) policies,
road safety measures,

and regular training initiatives.

Global Transition Award 2023

November 2023, Germany. LANXESS was honored with the "Global Transition Award" from Handelsblatt, which recognizes the company as a leading German business that is making a significant contribution to achieving the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement.

A panel of experts evaluated LANXESS's climate strategy based on quantitative and qualitative criteria. They commended the company for its comprehensive climate targets, the inclusion of the value chain, and the integration of sustainability at the board level through a dedicated committee structure.

"We want to actively shape the transformation of industry and global value chains and contribute to a more sustainable future," said Hubert Fink, LANXESS Management Board Member. "With our goal of being climate-neutral by 2040, we are fulfilling our responsibility as a global specialty chemicals group."

The award recognizes companies that are pioneering a 1.5-degree economy and promoting solutions that support broader decarbonization efforts.

Building Public Trust Award 2023

Septemeber 2023, Germany. LANXESS received the award from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in recognition of its credible and consistent sustainability reporting.

The award honors companies that successfully integrate sustainability and social responsibility into their external communications. This year, the jury focused on

EU taxonomy,
climate targets,
and CSRD readiness.

“We have long taken a leading role in sustainability reporting, going beyond legal requirements. This recognition confirms that we are on the right path,” said Oliver Stratmann, LANXESS’s Chief Financial Officer.

The expert jury praised LANXESS for the transparency and completeness of its reporting, highlighting its ESG Data Factsheet and strong preparation for upcoming CSRD regulations.

Just Drinks Excellence Awards

August 2023. LANXESS received two Just Drinks Excellence Awards:

one for "Innovation" and
one for "Product Launches."

These awards recognize the company’s natural preservative Nagardo® and its successful market introduction. Derived from the bright orange fungus Dacryopinax spathularia, Nagardo offers high antimicrobial performance for a wide range of beverages. It is the first new preservative approved in the EU for non-alcoholic drinks in over 40 years. The Just Drinks Excellence Awards are based on GlobalData’s business intelligence; AI-assisted analyses of global company data identify outstanding innovation and performance.

"The fact that Nagardo has received another award recognizes our innovative strength and the hard work of all the colleagues involved," said Monika Ebener, director of the natural antimicrobials market segment in the Material Protection Products business unit. Following approvals in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, the EU, and Canada, Nagardo was recently cleared for use in Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru, further expanding its global reach.

Appreciation Award from Seoul Metropolitan Boramae Youth Center

May 16, 2023, Seoul. Specialty chemicals company LANXESS received an appreciation award from Seoul Metropolitan Boramae Youth Center in recognition of its continuous efforts in supporting education for the youth in Korea.

The company’s support in Korea has focused on science and climate protection as part of its education initiatives for sustainable social development.

LANXESS has signed the partnership with Seoul Boramae Youth Center in 2019 and has been offering two initiatives, Science Class and Climate School. Over the past three years, around 2,700 students have participated in the programs.

LANXESS Science Class is a science education program, helping young people become interested in science and technology and grow into future talents. The focus is to offer quality education to the underprivileged youth who have relatively less access to science education.

CII SHE Excellence & Innovation Award

March 30th, 2023, India. LANXESS India has received the prestigious 17^th CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Western Region Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Excellence & Innovation Award 2022 in the Manufacturing (large) category for its Jhagadia site. The award recognises LANXESS' efforts to create a safer and better environment for all employees.

Enterprise Green Development Contribution Award 2022

March 21^st, 2023, Shanghai. LANXESS has won the “2022 Enterprise Green Development Contribution Award” as part of the recently announced 2022 Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance Leaders Awards sponsored by Shanghai Daily. Aiming to select resource-saving and environment-friendly enterprises, the award recognizes LANXESS’ outstanding contribution in promoting the Double Carbon goal and fulfilling green sustainable development.

Excellence in Ethics Award

February 8^th, 2023, USA. LANXESS staff accepted the Pittsburgh Excellence in Ethics Award. The event was hosted by the Southwestern Pennsylvania Rotarians and its partners, which include

the Allegheny Conference on Community Development,
the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence and

Despite a strong group of finalists in the large company category, LANXESS received the top award for ethical excellence.

The Pittsburgh Excellence in Ethics Awards (PEEA) is the City of Pittsburgh's annual awards ceremony that recognizes top businesses and non-profit organizations in the Pittsburgh region for their work and ethical commitment.

January 17, 2023, China. LANXESS was awarded Top Employer China 2023 today, marking the sixth consecutive year it has won this honor. The company’s overall score was significantly higher compared to the last year, with particularly outstanding performance in the areas of

Sustainability Hereos Award

November 2020, Germany. LANXESS aims to become climate neutral by 2040. The "Climate Neutral 2040" strategy developed for this purpose and the first major projects launched have convinced the jurors of the "Sustainability Heroes" sustainability award.

At the Sustainability Heroes conference on November 3, LANXESS received the Sustainability Heroes Award in the "Carbon Footprint" category. To further spur active commitment in business, the German Society for the Certification of Management Systems (DQS) and the German Society for Quality (DGQ) annually honor pioneers in the field of sustainability with the award. The award is presented in eight different categories.

LANXESS India received multiple awards from the Indian Chemical Council (ICC), for its commitment and outstanding performance specifically in the areas of Environment and Human Resource Management under the Large Companies’ category above INR 750 Crores. It also won the Certificate of Merit for Best Compliant Company for two codes under Responsible Care - Process Safety Code & Distribution Code.

Additionally, based on the Nicer Globe Initiative of ICC for Transportation Safety, two of the top three drivers who were awarded as the ‘Best Drivers’ for their disciplined performance towards road safety were engaged by LANXESS.

GoldenBee CSR China Honor Roll 2020

August 2020, China. LANXESS has been awarded the “2020 GoldenBee CSR China Honor Roll”. The company’s Ningbo plant and Changzhou leather chemicals plant were included in the 2020 Golden Bee Responsible Competitiveness Case Report as benchmarks of environmentally friendly production. It is the second time in a row that LANXESS has received this award for achievements in practicing corporate social responsibility.

Silver Sustainability Award

The 2020 edition of "The Sustainability Yearbook" presents the world's most comprehensive publication on corporate sustainability. LANXESS AG received the Silver Class award for its outstanding sustainability performance.
