
Frederique van Baarle
Frederique van Baarle was born in Geleen, the Netherlands, in 1971.
She earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA in Utrecht and Enschede before beginning her career in the chemical industry in 2000 at Royal DSM, where she held various management positions.
In 2011, she joined LANXESS as Global Marketing and Supply Chain Manager for EPDM rubber in the High Performance Elastomers business unit (now ARLANXEO). From 2013 to the end of 2018, she led the Engineering Plastics business line for the EMEA region within the High Performance Materials unit. During this time, she also completed an executive program at INSEAD.
From December 2018 to May 2020, van Baarle headed the Global Procurement and Logistics Group Function. In June 2020, she became Head of the High Performance Materials business unit. Following its spin-off into a joint venture with Advent on April 1, 2023, she assumed her current role as Member of the Board of Management and Labor Director of LANXESS AG. Her contract runs until March 31, 2031.
Frederique van Baarle is married and has four children.
