Rainier van Roessel re-elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG
Cologne, May 21, 2026 – The Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG today re-elected Dr. Rainier van Roessel (68) as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at its inaugural meeting. The Annual Stockholders’ Meeting had previously confirmed him as a member of the Supervisory Board for another four years. Dr. van Roessel, who holds a doctorate in business administration, has served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the specialty chemicals company since May 2024, having joined the board in 2022.
Dr. Rainier van Roessel began his professional career at Bayer AG and has worked for LANXESS AG since its founding in 2004, serving as Labor Director and a member of the Executive Board since 2007. He stepped down from the LANXESS Executive Board at the end of 2019.
Ms. Uta Kemmerich-Keil (59) joins the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG as a new member. She was also elected by the shareholders at today’s Annual Stockholders’ Meeting. The graduate in economics most recently headed the International Personal Healthcare business at Procter & Gamble. She has extensive experience in various operational management roles at large, internationally active corporations in the healthcare and consumer goods industries. Kemmerich-Keil succeeds Dr. Heike Hanagarth, who has served as a member of the Supervisory Board of LANXESS AG on the shareholder representatives’ side since 2016. Dr. Hanagarth did not stand for re-election.
