Dominik Risse takes over as head of LANXESS Urethane Systems Business Unit

Dominik Risse (42), will take over as head of the Urethane Systems Business Unit at specialty chemicals company LANXESS on April 1, 2023. He succeeds Markus Eckert (51), who will take over as head of global HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) activities on April 1. Risse currently heads the Specialty Rubber Products Business Line in LANXESS' Rhein Chemie Business Unit. In his future position, he will report to Board member Hubert Fink.

Risse is an industrial manager and holds a degree in business administration from the Hochschule für Oekonomie und Management in Essen. He also completed an MBA course at Bradford University in England. In 2004, he began his career at LANXESS as a product and sales manager in the then Rubber Chemicals Business Unit. After several management and leadership roles in Germany and abroad, he took over as head of the Specialty Rubber Products Business Line in the Rhein Chemie Business Unit in 2019.
