LANXESS to showcase its biocidal and oxidation portfolio for the first time at CHEMUK

LANXESS is exhibiting at the CHEMUK trade fair for the first time. At booth J152 in Hall 5, the specialty chemicals company is presenting its comprehensive portfolio – ranging from active ingredients for disinfection and Oxone for home care applications to holistic plant hygiene solutions for industrial facilities.

Low-temperature washing with Oxone

In her presentation “Oxone Monopersulfate Compound: The Next-Generation Oxidant for Low-Temperature Laundry Detergents”, Kelly Board, Technical Applications & UK Sales Manager at LANXESS, will discuss Oxone as a powerful oxidizing agent for detergent formulations. The presentation will take place on 20 May at 12:00 pm on Stage 3.

Oxone effectively removes oxidative stains at low temperatures and during short wash cycles. Furthermore, the product is characterized by fast reaction kinetics, versatile formulation options and broad application potential.

Disinfectant active ingredients for demanding applications

LANXESS offers a broad portfolio of disinfectant active ingredients under the brands Klarix, Preventol and Oxone, which are effective against viruses, bacteria, fungi and spores. They are specifically designed for use in livestock farming and in industrial and institutional settings and are characterized by their proven efficacy against a wide range of industrial and agricultural pathogens. In addition to active ingredients, base formulations are also available, which can be marketed under the customers' brand names.

Industrial plant hygiene management: the CDP concept

At the trade fair, LANXESS is presenting its CDP concept – which stands for “Control – Detect – Prevent”. It is the strategic approach to modern industrial plant hygiene. It aims to control microbiological risks, detect them at an early stage and take preventive measures to make industrial facilities more efficient and sustainable.

Preventol OX for powerful, chlorine-free disinfection

As an integral part of the CDP concept, LANXESS is presenting Preventol OX, a powerful, chlorine-free disinfectant and oxidizing agent for a wide range of industrial applications. Preventol OX offers highly effective control of microorganisms. The product, available in granule form, is easy to handle and can be used for the disinfection of process water, recycled water and plant equipment, as well as for the oxidative removal of organic deposits.

Klarix EXIT for clean paint and coatings production

With Klarix EXIT, LANXESS is introducing a new non-biocidal active ingredient for paints and coatings, adhesives, emulsions and other water-based industrial products. The product enables the use of the biocidal active ingredients CIT (chloromethylisothiazolinone) and MIT (methylisothiazolinone) during production.

Both are broken down within a short time and without leaving residues through the addition of Klarix EXIT. This enables the manufacture of biocide-free or low-biocide end products.
