While aroma chemicals ensure a pleasant scent, our preservatives protect against mold and bacteria. They ensure safe products and extend shelf life.

- Purox® B and Purox® S
Purox® B is used as a safe and effective preservative in a range of food stuff like pizzas, tortillas, and fish products. It is also used in care, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. Industrial customers use related Purox® B formulations to produce materials such as resins, paints, and plasticizers.
Thanks to its high purity, Purox® B has great properties: low odor, no discoloration and low agglomeration.
It is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) as a food additive and is also known as E211.
Common applications include soft drinks, jellies, dressings and sauces. Purox® S protects food from premature spoilage due to bacteria and molds, without compromising good taste.
In personal care products, it can be a good alternative to harmful parabens or formaldehyde releasers.
Sustainability
With a strong commitment to sustainability, we have successfully achieved ISCC+ certification across all five of our production sites. This certification relies on the mass balance approach for raw materials, significantly reducing the carbon footprint (PCF) of our products while maintaining their original characteristics and premium quality. Additionally, we have already implemented renewable energy use at selected locations. Verified PCF data, calculated according to TÜV Rheinland, ensures transparency and accuracy.
