LANXESS's diverse product portfolio requires the use of many different chemical-technical processes. Uniform standards for the planning, construction and operation of plants ensure a high level of process, plant and occupational safety.

The handling of chemical substances and working with technical equipment always involves health and safety risks. We systematically identify these risks and potential hazards worldwide - both for existing plants and for new ones - and minimise them by implementing defined precautionary and protective measures.

The implementation of LANXESS guidelines and local regulations for the safe operation of plants is checked by experts on site using targeted random samples in audits, the frequency of which depends on the respective risk profile.

We are consistently pursuing our path towards digitalising production by, among other things, digitalising our paper-based operating and maintenance checklists. Thanks to the clear, complete data situation, we can now derive necessary measures directly and implement them immediately. This not only increases work efficiency in production and maintenance, but also avoids duplication of work.
