In view of the increasing Mpox infections in Central and East Africa, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared an international health emergency.
The disinfectant Rely+On Virkon from specialty chemicals company LANXESS has been proven to be effective against the Mpox virus, formerly known as the “monkeypox virus”. This is confirmed by independent tests that confirm the product's effectiveness against the virus.
“Especially in times of rising infection rates, the choice of an effective disinfectant that has been proven to kill the target pathogen is crucial,” says Roy van Wel, Head of the market segment Hygiene and Care at LANXESS.
Rely+On Virkon is used for the disinfection of hard surfaces in hospitals, healthcare facilities, airports, public transportation terminals, clinics, shopping malls and many other public places.
