Integrated oxygen sensors in the hole system provide additional safety when handling highly flammable ethylene as well as protecting the catalysts against decomposition.

Optimized for both efficiency and selectivity
Our processes are based on two primary catalyst systems:
- Ruthenium-based (Grubbs) catalysts
- Tungsten/Molybdenum-based (Schrock) catalysts
Ru-based systems offer economic advantages but require the careful removal of ruthenium residues, for example through specialized ion exchange resins. In contrast, Schrock catalysts stand out for their superior selectivity, enabling excellent product quality, though they are more cost-intensive in use.
Saltigo offers the ideal downstream infrastructure to support the purification and separation steps required for these innovative, sustainable products.

At 250 °C and 60 bar, we achieve annual output using just 30 liters of reactor volume — replacing the need for a 20 m³ batch reactor - Continuous Nitration
