“The excellent scores we have achieved in various sustainability ratings reflect our unwavering commitment to sustainable business practices. They show that we take our responsibility for the environment, society and good corporate governance seriously.”
We are particularly proud of these awards. Sustainability is close to our hearts. For years, we have been working towards our goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2040. And that is not always easy in an energy-intensive industry - nevertheless, we have already reduced our emissions by over 70% compared to 2005.
By 2050, we also want our entire value chain to be carbon neutral. The renowned Science Based Target Initiative has confirmed that LANXESS's plans will help limit global warming to 1.5°C.
We continue to work on our ambitious goal.
