
Ownership Structure

The shareholder structure of LANXESS is predominantly shaped by institutional investors, who primarily pursue growth- or value-oriented investment strategies. At the end of 2025, their share amounted to around 89%. The remaining 11% of the shares are held by private investors.
In 2025, our investors mainly came from the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and France. The proportion of US shareholders remained almost unchanged at 57% compared to the previous year (58%). In Germany, the share also remained stable at 20% (previous year: 19%). The proportion of British investors recently rose significantly to around 10% (previous year: 6%). In France, the share declined slightly to 3% (previous year: 5%), while the proportion from Switzerland remained constant at 4%. Investors from the rest of Europe held around 4% of the shares, as in the previous year. In other regions of the world, the proportion decreased slightly to 2% (previous year: 5%).

No governmental institution owns more than 5% of the total voting rights.
