Emerald Innovation^® 3000 is a highly effective brominated polymeric flame retardant offering a variety of enhanced performance properties in EPS (expanded polystyrene) and XPS (extruded polystyrene) foams.

Emerald Innovation® 3000 is an alternative to Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) in EPS and XPS foam products.

As in the case of HBCD, Emerald Innovation® 3000 will require stabilization for use in XPS production processes. This product can be effectively used with flame retardant synergists that are typical used today in EPS and XPS applications. 

With an equal bromine content as in HBCD containing foam, Emerald Innovation® 3000 enables formulators to successfully achieve applicable fire safety standards  like EN Class E, German B-2 flammability tests and other international fire standards.
