Hatcol® polyolesters are used as primary base stock for maximum thermal stability and high temperature performance. Hatcol® esters are also used as additives in blends with PAO or group III’s to improve additive solubility, stability, lubricity and cleanliness.
Biodegradable and renewable options are available to help customers meet sustainability targets and we offer 19 approved products for incidental food contact applications with more in development.

Chain Oils
High temperature chain oils are used in industrial ovens, fiberglass drying, paint drying or powder coating, stenter frame and bakery (incidental food contact).

- Evaporation loss
- Coking and deposit formation
Gear Oils
Key considerations for industrial gear oils:
- Viscosity
- Load and speed of operation
- Film strength

Synthetic gear oils often use PAO base stock for increased temperature stability and improved low temperature properties. Esters can be used as additives to increase lubricity, additive solubility, seal compatibility and cleanliness.
POE and aromatic esters are available in a range of viscosities and provide an excellent base oil for high-performance products.
